Indian rules and costs we already build for
Most of an Indian app's hard parts are local: payments through Razorpay with GST on the fee, Google Maps on the cheaper India price list, the DPDP Act, RBI's payment rules and GST e-invoicing. These pages are written from that work.
- Razorpay fee calculatorFee, 18% GST on the fee and the amount settled, per payment method.
- Google Maps cost calculator (India list)70,000 free Essentials events a month on the India price list, then two bands.
- DPDP Act for app buildersNotice, consent, deletion and breach duties, read from the Gazette.
- RBI payment aggregator rulesWhat the 2025 Master Direction means for an app that takes payments.
- GST e-invoicing for softwareWhen IRNs apply and what an invoice system has to do.
- Razorpay subscriptions, from our codePlans, mandates, webhooks and the bugs we hit.

Questions from Indian clients
How much does it cost to build an app with a Bangalore studio?
Our published starting points are a ₹1,50,000 Discovery Sprint that ends in a fixed-price quote, a ₹90,000 code audit for an app someone else built, and maintenance from ₹20,000 a month. A full build is quoted as one fixed price after the sprint or a short call.
Do you only work with companies in Bangalore?
No. Our clients are spread across India, from Bangalore to Chennai, and in the UAE, the UK, Canada and the US. Work runs over calls, email and WhatsApp wherever the client is.
Can a Bangalore studio handle Indian payment and data rules?
That is most of what we build: Razorpay checkout and subscriptions, GST on fees, Google Maps on the India price list, and apps that have to meet the DPDP Act. Our guides to those rules are linked on this page.
How big is CountryDevs?
