A severity-ranked audit and a fixed-price fix or takeover quote
Code audit and takeover: find out what you really have before you spend more on it
A code audit reads your app's code and tells you, with file-and-line evidence, what is broken, what is risky and what it will take to fix, refactor or rebuild. A standard audit of one app takes five working days and costs ₹90,000 in India or $1,900 elsewhere, and the fee is credited to the fix or takeover work if it starts within 60 days.

What do you get from a code audit?
- 01Findings ranked by severity, each with the file and line it comes from
- 02A dependency and security audit (known vulnerabilities, outdated packages)
- 03An architecture review: what will hold, what will not
- 04A verdict per area: fix, refactor or rebuild — with the effort for each
- 05A fixed-price quote to fix it or to take the project over
- 06A 60-minute walkthrough with your team
How does a code audit run?
- Day 1Access to the repositories (read-only is enough), a short call on what worries you
- Day 2–3Reading the code: architecture, data model, security, dependencies, tests
- Day 4Findings written up, ranked by severity, with effort estimates
- Day 5Walkthrough and the fixed-price fix or takeover quote

Is a code audit right for you?
A good fit if
- Founders whose previous agency or freelancer has gone quiet
- Teams about to invest more in an app and wanting to know what they are building on
- Investors and acquirers who need a technical read before a deal
Not the right fit if
- You want a rubber stamp — the report says what the code says
- The codebase is in a stack we do not use day to day (we work in JavaScript and TypeScript: Node.js, React, Next.js, React Native, MongoDB)
- You need a formal security penetration test with a certificate — that is a specialist's job
What are the terms?
- Credit
- The audit fee is credited to fix or takeover work that starts within 60 days.
- Access
- Read-only access to the repositories is enough. Nothing is changed during the audit.
- Confidentiality
- We sign your NDA before access, and the report goes only to you.
- No lock-in
- The report and quote are yours to take to any team.
Questions about a code audit
What if the audit says the app should be rebuilt?
Then the report says so and explains why, area by area, with the effort for each option. Some areas are usually worth keeping even when others are not.
Does a code audit need access to our production servers?
No. Read-only access to the code repositories is enough. If a finding needs production data to confirm, we ask and you decide.
Can you take over an app another agency built?
Yes. The audit is the first step: it tells both sides what is being taken over. Handovers run the other way too: Trainr's marketplace went to the client's own developer with a written handover record.
Which languages and frameworks can you audit?
JavaScript and TypeScript codebases: Node.js and Express backends, React and Next.js web apps, React Native mobile apps, and MongoDB data models. Outside that we will say so instead of guessing.
How big a codebase fits in a standard audit?
One app or one backend up to about 50,000 lines. An app plus its backend, up to about 150,000 lines, is the Large audit at ₹1,60,000 or $3,400.
