Launch readiness
Evidence, not a feeling, that a product is ready to go live: which flows have been exercised, what is still open, and what will be watched on day one.
Updated October 2026 · with examples from our own builds
What does launch readiness mean in practice?
Launch readiness pulls together the checks that matter: every route or flow exercised against real services, money paths tested end to end, security findings closed, store requirements met and monitoring in place. The output is a list with dates, not a percentage someone estimated.
Watch out for the hand-kept checklist that reads 100% while the system has kept growing. New routes and features appear during a build, and a checklist nobody regenerates quietly stops covering them.
Measuring readiness also shows what you are choosing not to test before launch, and why, which is a decision worth writing down.

Where has launch readiness come up in our builds?
A route-inventory tool lists every operable API route and reads, from a ledger the probes write, whether each has been driven: 260 of 270 on 22 September 2026. It exists because a hand-kept checklist once read 216 of 216 while regenerating it gave 216 of 244.
Before calling it launch-ready we ran ten operate-everything passes that exercised 237 of the API's 253 routes over HTTP against real buckets; the routes left over depended on AWS infrastructure that wasn't yet in place.
Common questions about launch readiness
How do I know my product is ready to launch?
Ask for evidence flow by flow: which routes and payment paths have actually been run against real services, when, and what is still open. A percentage without that list is an estimate.
Is it acceptable to launch with some things untested?
Often, if they are named, the risk is understood and they are watched closely after launch. Storafleet's launch record lists the routes left untested and the reason.
