Overview

Overview

Rainbow Star Contracting is a Dubai general contractor, established in 2003 according to its about page, that builds staff and labour accommodation, warehouses, factories and villas on a turnkey basis. Its work is easiest to judge from photographs, so the site is built around them.

We built five pages in HTML, SASS and JavaScript on a Bootstrap layout, hosted on Netlify: a home page that is a full-screen slider of buildings with the company's taglines, an about page, a services page, a projects gallery and a contact page with the office address.

The story in three steps

From the problem to what runs today

  1. 01 · Where it started

    The challenge

A contractor's buyers are developers and companies commissioning large buildings. Before they read anything about the company, they want evidence of finished work at scale: multi-storey accommodation blocks, villa compounds, warehouses.

  2. 02 · What we built

    The solution

We led with images. The home page is only a full-screen slider with one line of copy per slide, and the projects page is a gallery of large photographs labelled by project or building type, such as G+4+R and G+7+R staff accommodation and twin villas. The about and services pages pair each block of text with a photo and run a vertical brand line down the side, so the text pages stay visual too.

  3. 03 · Where it stands

    The impact

The site is online at rsc.netlify.app. We have no enquiry or traffic records for it, so no results are claimed.

A homepage design we built for Jdee Media, a media transcription service: a large display-type hero, cards for transcription, captioning and translation, and a closing call-to-action band. It never went live with final content; much of the body copy is still placeholder text.
