Jamil's Handyman Services — One Website for Three Trades

A one-page website we built for Jamil, who offers handyman work, warehouse management and truck driving: a hero with a tab for each trade, a services strip, a skills panel with a downloadable CV, his work process and a section for each line of work.

Overview

Overview

Jamil works in three trades: handyman jobs such as renovation, electrical work, plumbing, wiring and painting; warehouse and inventory management; and truck driving. The site serves both homeowners looking for a handyman and employers reading his CV, so it works partly as a service page and partly as a résumé.

We built it as a single scrolling page in HTML, SASS and JavaScript on Netlify. Tabs in the header jump to the handyman, warehouse and driving sections, the CV can be downloaded from the hero and from the skills panel, and the page ends with his working days and a free-estimate call to action. The footer credits Web Cannon-Z, CountryDevs' sister company; the site was built under that name.

The story in three steps

From the problem to what runs today

  1. 01 · Where it started

    The challenge

One person, three unrelated lines of work. A homeowner who needs a repair and a company hiring a warehouse manager want very different things from the same site, and neither should have to dig for their part of it.

  2. 02 · What we built

    The solution

We gave each trade its own anchored section and its own tab in the header, so a visitor jumps straight to handyman, warehouse or driving. The handyman part lists services and a three-step way of working; the warehouse part uses an accordion for his warehouse-system and inventory services; the driving part lists his duties as a professional driver. A downloadable CV ties the site to job applications.

  3. 03 · Where it stands

    The impact

The site is online at jamilservices.netlify.app. We have no enquiry or traffic records for it and claim no results. We do not reproduce the page's counters or testimonials here, because we cannot verify them.

FAQ

Questions about this project

How does one website serve Jamil's three different trades?

Each trade has its own section and a tab in the header (handyman, warehouse, driving), so a visitor jumps to the part that applies to them, and a downloadable CV covers employers.

Can a handyman website double as a CV?

On Jamil's site it does: the hero and the skills panel both offer his CV as a download, next to a skills rating for driving, handyman work and warehouse management.
