KYC (provider verification)
Checking who providers and business customers are, through documents such as licences, insurance, GSTIN and PAN, before they can work or trade on the platform.

What does KYC mean in practice?
Know-your-customer checks confirm identity and eligibility. For a delivery platform that means a driver's licence, vehicle papers, insurance and a photo; for business accounts, tax registration and billing details; for professionals, certifications. Each document is reviewed and approved or rejected.
Verification is a trust and liability control. Customers assume the people they meet through your platform have been checked, and one bad incident with an unverified provider can define a brand.
Documents expire and requirements differ by country and provider type, so the system needs per-country document lists, expiry tracking and a firm rule that unverified providers get no work.

Where has KYC come up in our builds?
Drivers upload their licence, RC, insurance and photo in the app, operations approve or reject each document in the console, and an unapproved driver is offered no work. A business submits its GSTIN, PAN and billing address and can't ship until operations approve its KYC.
Organisations and vets are verified against each country's document list before they appear, and a daily sweep checks for expired documents.
The superadmin console reviews trainer certifications alongside users, packages and programs.
Common questions about KYC
Can I verify providers manually at first?
Yes. A review queue in which staff approve each document is a sound start; automate checks later where volumes justify it. What matters from day one is that unapproved providers can't take work.
What happens when a provider's documents expire?
The system should notice, warn them in advance and pause their work once a document lapses, rather than relying on staff to remember.
