Frequently asked questions

What size is an OG image?
1200×630 pixels — the OpenGraph spec recommendation, used by LinkedIn, Slack, Discord, Twitter (X), and most other platforms.
Do I need to generate one per page?
Highly recommended. Pages with custom OG images get materially higher click-through from social. Use this tool to mint one per blog post or landing page.
Can I use my brand colors?
Yes — set the background and foreground colors with the color pickers. Your colors render edge-to-edge.
Will the image be cached by social platforms?
Yes — once a platform fetches your og:image it caches aggressively. Use a unique filename or query string when you change the image, or use Twitter / LinkedIn's debugger to force a refresh.
How do I add this to my site?
Drop the PNG into /public, then add <meta property="og:image" content="https://yoursite.com/og-image.png" /> and <meta name="twitter:image" content="..." /> to the page <head>.
What's the file size?
Typically 50-150 KB depending on colors and template. Small enough to inline, big enough for crisp rendering across devices.
